Pink Ragwort (Senecio glastifolius) is a species of perennial flowering plant in the aster family (Asteraceae), also known by the common names Woad-leaved Ragwort and Holly-leaved Senecio.

The plant is native to southern Africa, and it is cultivated as an ornamental plant for its colorful flowers.

It has become naturalized in many parts of the world with an appropriate climate.

The original artwork featured on the coffee mug is by Matilda Smith and was first published 1915 in Curtis's Botanical Magazine, London., vol. 141, an illustrated gardening and botanical journal started by William Curtis in the 18th century.

Matilda Smith (1854–1926) was a botanical artist whose work appeared in Curtis's Botanical Magazine for over forty years. She became the first artist to depict New Zealand's flora in depth and the first official artist of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew.
